Topic:  Book Review, Gone But Not Forgotten

 

Amelia Porter Lewis

Gwinnett Historian

​

Amelia Porter Lewis serves as Assistant to the Director of the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation, where she conducts in‑depth research on property records and historical documentation to support major DOT projects. She also serves as the County's Historian and an ex‑officio member of the Gwinnett Historic Preservation & Restoration Board.  She is also a member of the Gwinnett Historical Society.  She holds a Master of Public Administration (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Georgia Gwinnett College (2017).

Gone But Not Forgotten, is her first book, and highlights the process in which various community groups have worked together to restore the Island Ford Baptist Church and its cemetery.​​
