Therefore, we endeavor to provide the user all information regarding our identity, how we use personal information that is collected, how to contact us and how to access and update the user's personal information. This site is owned and operated by the Gwinnett Historical Society Inc.
We are a 501 (C) (3) non- profit Organization, contributions
are tax deductible to the full extent provided by the law. Our tax exemption

Users can contact us by linking to the Feedback location and leaving a
message detailing any questions or concerns.
Membership / Personal Information:
Membership is required for access of the Members Center. This includes but
not limited to Name, Address, Phone and E-mail address. This information may be
used to inform users about products, services, activities, and other subjects
that may be of interest.
This information is used to ensure that users abide by the Conditions of Use.
When a user submits a GEDCOM file, personal information may be included and made publicly available in our office. When users submit personal information, they represent that they have obtained permission from all living individuals included in their GEDCOM file. When users request pages from The Gwinnett Historical Society Web Site, our servers may log their IP address. This information is used to improve site administration. This information along with the other personal information listed above can also be used to produce usage statistics to help The Gwinnett Historical Society better meet the needs of users and determine research interests.
Correcting Information
Corrections to a Gwinnett Historical Society database (genealogical information) generally are made by submitting additional information to that database. You should follow the same procedures for submitting corrected information as you would for submitting original information. Generally, proposed corrections will simply be added to the database as an alternative view but will not replace the previous data.
Individuals can correct their registered personal information by clicking on My Info. This link, which requires users to then enter their username and password, will allow users to modify their personal information. If any problems are encountered removing or modifying this personal information the user can contact us at the Feedback location and request assistance.

Gwinnett Historical Society Web Site is equipped with security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and unauthorized alteration of the information under our control. We cannot guarantee that the information will not be lost or misused, but we make every effort to ensure that it is secured to avoid such problems.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. They are advised to get permission from their parents before they send any information about themselves or others.
