Searching for any information on the Morgan Griffith family. He is in the 1830 Gwinnett census (age 50-60) but seems to disappear after that.
Gwinnett County Inferior Court Minutes 1820-1832. P. 143: Ordered that the report of the Commissioners appointed to lay out a new road from Gates??? Ferry Road near Griffith???s or Holt???s and crossing Yellow River at Williams Bridge then running toward Echols on the Hightower Trail as far as this County line, be and the same is hereby accepted.
It is uknown if this reference to Griffith is for Morgan or another Griffith. At any rate, it doesn't help with learning what may have happened to him. He was in Morgan Co. in 1820 and Oglethorpe in the early 1800's. No record of him in any 1840 census leads me to believe he may have died in Gwinnett Co. Thanks for any help or advice.
