Sanford Hannah family of Gwinnett

Postby bdangelo » Sun Sep 01, 2013 5:32 pm

Hi all, so glad to see this site online. I belonged to the Historical Society when I first began genealogy back in the 1980s and loved getting the quarterly newsletters.

My sons are descended from Sanford Hannah (1820-1886), who lived in Gwinnett County and is buried at the Duncan's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, along with his wife, Annie McDaniel Hannah. His oldest son, Emesiah W. Hannah, had two sons, Jefferson Davis Hannah and John Wesley Hannah. My boys are descended from John, who moved away from Gwinnett and relocated on Sand Mountain, Alabama. But I am still interested in tracing J.D. Hannah's line and have visited his grave at Rock Springs Cemetery.

So, I'd be interested in sharing information with anyone who is descended from Sanford's branch of the Hannah family. Other names attached to this family were McDaniel, Veal, Holman, Mauldin, Teagle, Daniel, Williams and Tullis.

You can contact me here or email me at bdangelo@aol.com. Would love to hear from you!

I certainly will, thanks for the nice welcome. I do have several of the Gwinnett books, including Gwinnett County, Georgia deaths 1819-1989, by Alice Smythe McCabe. If anyone needs a lookup let me know.
