Hawks / Vanvalkenburg

I am looking for information on Chester Hawks and Alonzo Vanvalkenburg. Both are shown in the surviving Minute Book 1820-1832. They were in some kind of partnership and it may have had something to do with the establishment and building of the "poor school." If anyone knows anything about either, please post.

lot No. 38 in the town of Lawrenceville, with a Gin House upon it, No. 51 in the town of Lawrenceville, whereon Moses Blake formerly lived, and the south half of Lot of land No. 142 in the 6th Dist. of Gwinnett County; Levied on as the property of A.G. Vanvalkingburghj and Chester Hawks, to satisfy a fifa. in favor of Webster Parmelee & Co. Property pointed out by plantiff's attorney

The co-partnership heretofore existing under the firm of Van Volkingburgh & Hawks was on the fourth day of February last, dissolved by mutual consent.

Chester Hawks
May 19-9-21

Apparently Chester Hawks was at one time the Clerk of Superior Court in Cass County

1830 in Gwinnett Co, GA; listed as A G Volkingburg N Twp L p260
1m 15-20 1f 15-20
1m 20-30 + 3 slaves

BIRTH: family records; birth date and cemetery date do not agree;
deed dated 1824 lists him as the son of Solomon Van Valkenburg

MARRIAGE: records of Greene Co, GA; listed as Alonza Wandison Van
Valkinburgh. His middle name could be Grandison

DEATH: records of Gwinnett Co, GA #975/8223 v4g; 1804-1836; Buried in the
Lawrenceville Town Cemetery; Death records has name as Alonzo G Van

NOTE: additional information from the Park Genealogy; has his name as Eugene Van Valkinburg
