I would have loved to live in a county where my ancestors lived, but since I do not, I decided to join the Gwinnett Historical Society to work to preserve the history and resources of this county.  GHS had just published its first book, Gwinnett County Georgia Families 1818 – 1968.  Since I joined I have worked on the Publications committee and we have printed or reprinted over a dozen other books on the history of Gwinnett County.  Recording the history of the county through the printed word and photographs is my main interest in GHS.
