Speaker: Kathryn Willis - Growing up in Duluth

Kathryn is a recognized authority on the history of Duluth, having grown up a block from town. She and her sisters are daughters of the Parsons who owned Parsons store on Main Street where they worked with their parents. Kathryn is now in charge of Parson's store in Cumming. You won't want to miss this exciting presentation.

The Elisha Winn House and Fair

The Elisha Winn House located at 908 Daclula Road in Dacula, GA 30019 is open for tours from March to September on the second Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The Winn Fair is held on the first weekend of October during which the house and all of the out buildings will be open and attended by many volunteers and reenactors. The fair also has crafters' booths, musical entertainment, and railroad history.

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the Elisha Winn House and the Gwinnett Historical Society will sponsor the 34th annual Elisha Winn Fair in celebration. This year's Winn Fair will be held on Saturday October 6, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. & Sunday October 7, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
